# that's all i've got so far and i really dont know :S any help?
(, Wed 1 Jun 2011, 12:27, archived)
# I would go for this one
The line-free style makes it light and easy to manipulate in other drawings. It also would be quite easy to animate if each body part was a separate layer/object.

# Have you tried drawing a massive, spurting CDC with a "lol" speech bubble?
(, Wed 1 Jun 2011, 12:36, archived)
# this version (without the stroke/outlines) is more interesting!
Looks great! Has a more fresh look to it and is more appealing.

# Which one do you prefer?
(, Wed 1 Jun 2011, 12:38, archived)
# yeh i prefer the second one
so its good to see everybody else does as well. also it is indeed way easier to animate without silly outlines which im gonna do. ill try some other "styles" as well just so that it doesnt look like i was lazy but i hope everyone will settle for #2. thanks for the input

# All of cs3?
That mean you have Flash?
(, Wed 1 Jun 2011, 13:27, archived)
# erm, i presume so
it's on my 'puta at home. currently trying to use layers in tatyshop and then animating them. comes out really jerky and the more layers i add to smooth it out, the bigger the file gets.

# Urgh
Photoshop - I find - is rubbish to use for animation, especially the more recent versions. I only use it for turning already completed animation frames into a gif.

Flash is good, if you do have it, because you get the onion skin and can animate in multiple layers and it's pretty flexible. Then I usually export the finished cartoon as either an image sequence or avi movie then turn into a gif in Photoshop.

Alternatively draw the frames on paper (get a bit of glass to draw on, then shine a lamp up at it for cheap light box effect), then scan them in. Import the frames into photoshop, colour them in, touch them up, etc. and you have a gif.

i'll have a look tonight. if i have flash then it could be a whole new way to waste my time : )
