Thought you would be drowning in work?
Do you freelance? Work from home? I thought you had regular work...

Well, considering youve worked on transformers, star wars, and dr who stuff
i'd say youve had some pretty damn good jobs.

I've drawn pictures of transformers, star wars, and dr who stuff
not exactly high profile (or well paid) stuff
Did you assume it was stuff for the actual film/tv studios? :D

hahahahahaha
no, I've helped design officially branded toys.
The pay is rubbish but it's fun and on the very plus side it has granted me access to the Lucasfilm vault (amazing art reference repository)

i find it surprising that something like that pays crap
ive done some relatively low key jobs (obscure casino websites, austrailian board game covers, adverts for things youve not heard of) yet, they pay pretty well.

wish that it were

Feb was last time I was properly employed
Will be easting the furniture come Christmas at this rate :)
Maybe if we keep badgering taters he'll throw work scraps to us from his London penthouse.

Ah do you reckon he would?
I was made redundant in June. Haven't even managed to
conjure up an interview despite applying for at least 5 jobs
a week, and all I want to do is go Snowboarding :D

Penthouse? Its a poky studio flat (in an admittedly lovely area though)
I mostly get requests to do stuff like cartoony modeling as seen in my portfolio, and since i dont really know anyone who shows examples of such work, i cant pass of any work to mates.
Rob should be paying you for keeping his frontpage stocked with lovely images :-D
I am quite surprised though - youre a right creative chap, and youre good at quick things that look good. Most of the time, people dont have the money to do 3d illustrations because they take so long to do. Quick and cheap is good.

Damn this how they suck you in
first they get your interest, then when you demand more you're ensnared into spiralling debts.
Can we negotiate and a payment plan?

Can we negotiate and a payment plan?
Yeah but it involves a time-share and some frozen food adverts.
Or just hit up Craigslist.

Not a safe assumption
given that a couple of weeks ago some non-contributing twat claimed to have vote-rigged a less popular option because they didn't like the one /board had chosen.

Dont think im in this to win - im in it for the lolz.
Every time i try hard for an FP or some adoring comments, it gets buried in a threadrush or just ignored :-)

Just keep reposing in a new thread.
People will notice eventually :)

No, i meant that the current front runner in the vote for the next image challenge
might not end up being the image challenge!

I prefer the challenge to start before people start posting pictures for it
but that's not entirely the fault of Fraser

Well he does have to give people a fair chance to vote
otherwise it will just a snapshot of views expressed at a very small window of opportunity there are still people at work and away from the internets.
I might suggest that really the vote be made on Tuesday and left to carry through until 5pm Wednesday when it will be announced which was selected.
