but the longer version of the gif can be found here www.funnyjunk.com/funny_gifs/1228637/Delayed/
I took it as an incident in a zoo or animal sanctuary of 2 young pups interracting with each other and nothing more sinister than playful curiosity.
Then that was then shown on Japanese TV in a crazy clips show, because the bear's delayed reaction is very funny.

but to all intents and purposes, that is what it is.
The delayed reaction is the bear's slowed response to a threat (that only occurred when the lion moved its mouth near) due to being kept in captivity. I've not seen past the funny reaction bit though, did it all end happily? or did the bear die of heart failure/lions instinct kick in and go in for the kill?

Lion and Bear team up, rip the film crew to pieces for being bastards and go on to create a truly effective crime-fighting duo.
EDIT: Although it has to be said that watching the bear's facial reaction and amazing comedy running legs (option 1, followed by 22) they could just as well go on to become the 21st Century's Abbott and Costello.

30 seconds into trying to watch that, and my laptop monitor developed a mysterious fist-shaped crack in it!

but I was worried I was developing epilepsy. What's with this constant chopping and jumping? Does she think it makes her look more professional? Because if so she's enormously deluded. It made an irritating video positively enraging.

but I just randomly clicked through to 2:25 and watched for ten seconds. I think everyone should do this, it will reaffirm their faith in humanity.

what happened to you, Captain?

I became the cop this city needed, not the cop this city wanted.
If you want to arrest me, send your very best - they'll find me out there, on the streets, trying to do my job.
I guess we're done here, Chief...
...unless you want to grow a pair, and follow me out that door.

I didn't film it I just found a funny gif on the internet and made a penis on it, I am probably not the right person to be asking about this, or anything else really.
Do you actually know more about this, or is this just guesswork based on the gif?
I know it is not uncommon for animals that would be potential threats to each other in the wild to find companionship in captivity, and just thought it was nothing more than two captive animals being introduced for the first time to allow them to become cofortable with each other and their respective sights and smells as they would be sharing a living area. I may be wrong though.

I didn't think a site that regularly makes holocaust and 911 jokes would be so sensitive to a bear being suprised by a friendly lion.
I thought it was funny because the bear's reaction was so delayed and cartoon like when it did happen.

A puerile attempt at humour by putting a magenta penis on a lion, and not any advocation of animal cruelty I am happy.
I wasn't going to post as a new thread but as the bored was slow I thought I would, I do always enjoy a CDC fest.
