I went to Uni In Belfast
I remember walking over to Ormeau park with mates, guitars and joints for a chill, when we heard the BOOM, saw the smoke rising and our moment was gone! :(

You didn't have to go to Belfast for that, I was almost caught in this

I was at the Wimpy on Oxford Street the week before it blew up.
Admittedly, the burger was a little dry, but it didn't bother me at the time.

a week eh? that was a lucky escape :D
I was very nearly stood at the bus stop by Barclays when the bomb went off, had the missus and I not had a row we might have been all over the town centre

Ha-ha! It was the event that made me start to ask questions about what was actually going on.
Prior to that, it was just something on the telly that my 9yr old brain couldn't quite fathom.

Born in Co. Tyrone
I seen guns, bombs, soldiers IRA men, bodies etc. on an almost daily basis. Lost family and friends in the damn "troubles" Came to England in 99 and can't believe these bloody marches are still allowed to take place and incite the crowds to riot, every single time. ARRRGGGHH!

compared to what it was, very much so
dead high street, massively over priced houses, all the character gone. Despite the high street being mainly poundstretcher and empty shops I think its still the most expensive place to live outside London

Wow, we always saw as a place to aspire to live in (20 years ago).
Always expensive, but it's sad if the high street and character is dead :-(

Can they not just ban the marches?
Surely it's not an inalienable right to incite violence while dressed as a 22 carat prick

Ban Marching? That's what I've been saying for years, ALL marching.
But tell that to the Orange Order and the Paislites.

Religion. A massive fucking waste of effort on the part of everyone involved.
Just imagine what we could be doing now if it wasn't for all the time, lives, money and effort spunked on religion. Probably we'd all be living in space eating moon food. The reason we don't have jetpacks is because Jesus doesn't want you to have them.
