erm a Tsunami is a collosal wave (which dick on tidal waves size wise) caused by something like a massive earthquake underwater or a massive load of rock falling underwater and stuff

It is also
the name of a character from the acclaimed animé Tenchi Muyo!. In her case the name is built not from the ideograms meaning 'great wave' but ones that loosely mean 'wise enchanting ferry' which makes ense if you've seen the series, here is a pic.
