it will be recognised.

as long as you don't start posting whiny shit when you can't do something then you're ok.

# the help on imageready
is no help at all

it seemed to me that you can only make animations from on picture, using layers, and you can't use....more than one picture, which means that for a complicated animation you need an image which is 50 layers thick or something........dunno, i use unfreeze, it's easier

# whenever i do animations,
each frame or movement is a new layer.

# *belm*
how do you expect animations to happen :)

layer upon layer of slightly altered picture.....how did the original cartoonists do it?

Bah. Kids these days, etc.

if you follow that little wench's guide you get an animation of several identical frames, i.e. one that doesn't move

edit: OK - I added a bit. But really, if you want to make an animation, and don't realize that you will need to move around some elements, then you probably need more help than Miss Sally Ann can give you.

# Depends what software your using
If your using Photshop you'll need to use Imageready that is part of the software (the bottom of the tool bar icon will launch it. Just use the help files (f1) for instructions

# Easy
Although I don't remember how. But if I could work it out, it must be simple.

Ooh, open the file in imageready, then look in the floating palette with the 'animation' tab. The circly-arrow button has a new frame option. Paste the next frame in there. Save it all off as a gif, and post it.

Hey, do I win a prize for 'dumbest first-ever-stopped-lurking-post on b3ta'?

Oh, go on...please...

(, Mon 10 Nov 2003, 1:56, archived)
# .
i tried the 'paste new frame in there' bit and it wouldn't let me....paste

i mean i can change each frame in image ready easy enough but not import a second picture to use in the same animation, which is what i wanted to do
