would be due to those wonderful people at mercedes deciding that the market share of any browser other than IE5+ was too small to worry about. So they're all done with no thought for owt else. A bit annoying when you're trying to work on them - sort of goes against your profesional interest in your work, but there aint much you can do unless you kick 'everyone' working on them to make them cross-browser :o(
