[challenge entry] Have you considered the ethics
of what you are being asked to do?

Basically, you are creating fake historical images to assist a political activist in pushing a rather dubious point.

In what way is this different to what Holocaust revisionists do?

Shame on you, B3ta.

it's just as bad. Mark Thomas is a comedian who found out he wasn't funny and now makes a career and possibly a fair bit of cash highlighting wrongs in the world that nobody actually does anything effective about. I wonder if he'll mention the fact that coca cola refused to remake the famous "i'd like to teach the world to sing" advert minus any black people for South African TV audiences during apartheid...

# Do you know the budget for a Coke ad?
More likely they didn't change it because of financial reasons which they then turned to their advantage.*

# I reckon your right
any way coke supported the Moscow olympics and will probably be suporting the Beijing one. (they are nothing if not broadminded)
(, Tue 24 Feb 2004, 0:57, archived)
# Well
Supporting the Beijing olympics seems to me pretty much as bad as supporting the German olympics (if I'm right in thinking that this was a while before the nazis had invaded anywhere.)

But I don't expect or require soft drink manufacturers to know this.

Governments, now, that would be nice.

# they are supporting the olympic games for all nationalities to take part
it's the hosts that were the baddies.

# China:
Support North Korea, who test nerve gas on the families of dissidents.

Would very much like to invade Taiwan.

Chop bits off political criminals.

But I can't remember the details so I'll shut up now before I make some embarrassing mistake.

# When Manchester went for the olympics
a LMR (or whatever that cockney station is) presenter said that it had a marginally worse human rights record than beijing. I think he may have been wrong.
