# Blue Peter
was my favourite program. Haven't you worked it out yet? I am your mother!

# Hi Mum
Have you spoken to Duncan recently?
(, Mon 5 Nov 2001, 6:53, archived)
# Yes - he's off on holiday
t might take him a while to get ther though
(, Mon 5 Nov 2001, 7:09, archived)
# Well pep him up a bit then!!
(, Mon 5 Nov 2001, 7:25, archived)
# Get Pep and Duncan together?
What a splendid idea.
(, Mon 5 Nov 2001, 7:41, archived)
# you mean, instead of pep him up a bit...
put a bit of pep up him?
mmm....I've no idea what either of them look like, but it's a pleasant thought nonetheless!!
(, Mon 5 Nov 2001, 7:51, archived)
# oi! just got back from over there -
steady on lads! I think I'm a bit scared.
(again)
(, Mon 5 Nov 2001, 8:34, archived)
# don't be scared
Duncan will be really gentle with you

# duncans
have you tried putting down some duncan pellets?
(, Mon 5 Nov 2001, 8:34, archived)
# He bought it in Flash Gordon
A tree stump monster jabbed him in the arm and green stuff came out. So its only fair to make him in to repellant pellets, save him going to waste.
(, Mon 5 Nov 2001, 8:41, archived)
# you sound like you
had a brain twisting weekend, judging by that comment!!
(, Mon 5 Nov 2001, 8:55, archived)
# Not especilly
I made a gate. The very best bit of Flash Gordon is when Hans Zarkov yells "For gods sake strap yourselves down". Anyone else disagree.
(, Mon 5 Nov 2001, 9:08, archived)
# when he's standing there in his pants...mmm
but the best bits are
1. The fact there's someone in it called Ming
2. The lizards with eyes in their mouths.
(, Mon 5 Nov 2001, 9:29, archived)
# I used to work with
A chap called Ming. He was a bit crap. He had never seen Flash Gordon, so we were able to make loads of references to it without him taking offence. Some people tried explaining it to him as they really did want to offend him, but it failed also.

Good point about the Lizards, they rightly looked a bit traumatised.

# of course
now you say it, it seems obvious. That's fab. Are you taking orders?
(, Mon 5 Nov 2001, 6:47, archived)
# I'm thinking of copywriting the design
Then I'll be taking orders. b3ta members can have it fir the knockdown price of £199.
(, Mon 5 Nov 2001, 7:44, archived)
# I would pay it gladly!
Will you ship it by Christmas?

Wow, it'll be even better than my Furby...

Small green tank engines can turn up just about anywhere, eg in your wellies/toilet/larder, so you always need to keep an eye out for them.
