# Yay!
Super, have all the fun. And THEN get I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue tickets.

I'd very probably give my right arm to see that show.

# TLH took me as a treat a few years back . . .
t'was Very Bazoo!

(, Thu 5 Jan 2006, 11:30, archived)
# That makes TLH even more lovely.
(, Thu 5 Jan 2006, 11:31, archived)
# yes, yes it does . . .

# I've been trying for ISIHAC tickets for the last few years
but they always vanish immediately.

I want to go see it before Humph is dead!
(, Thu 5 Jan 2006, 11:32, archived)
# Have you tried E-mailing them and asking if they could reserve tickets
for the next lot that go on sale? Might work.
(, Thu 5 Jan 2006, 11:34, archived)
# One of the problems is that they only record three shows for one series
(for those of you that hadn't guessed)

(, Thu 5 Jan 2006, 11:35, archived)
# No, they don't reserve them
They email me when tickets are available then it's a free for all. Those bastards on the mailing list who get into work on time get to see the email first and get all the tickets. Grrrr!
(, Thu 5 Jan 2006, 11:35, archived)
# Hahaha
not worth turning up early?
(, Thu 5 Jan 2006, 11:36, archived)
# I would
if I knew when they were going to email!

The woman running the list doesn't reserve tickets, you have to phone the venue.
(, Thu 5 Jan 2006, 11:37, archived)
# Nightmare.
Hope you get them soon!

Might be worth looking on ebay after they've gone on sale?
(, Thu 5 Jan 2006, 11:39, archived)
# Hadn't thought of that.
Do Radio 4 listeners use Ebay?
(, Thu 5 Jan 2006, 11:41, archived)
# no
the radio
(, Thu 5 Jan 2006, 11:41, archived)
# Not necessarily
Which could very possibly work in your favour.
(, Thu 5 Jan 2006, 11:43, archived)
# Hmmmm.
Good idea. Cheers.

# keep trying...
I saw it a couple of years ago and it was grand. Radio recordings are better than TV recordings, which always descend into interminable tedium.
(, Thu 5 Jan 2006, 11:35, archived)
# Not always.
Went to see them filming the new series of 2 Pints of Lager... a few weeks back. That was fun, if only because I'd never seen a sitcom being filmed before.

# You still haven't!
BADUM!

(, Thu 5 Jan 2006, 11:38, archived)
# Pffft!
(, Thu 5 Jan 2006, 11:39, archived)
# sorry . . . that was just rude of me

(, Thu 5 Jan 2006, 11:42, archived)
# and obvious.
You're slipping ;)

# Spot on Dave!
TV programme recordings most often have loads and loads of retakes at the end where you have to pretend to laugh at something that wasn't funny in the first place.
(, Thu 5 Jan 2006, 11:49, archived)
# I've seen quite a few
'specially when I worked at the Beeb and spoke nicely to the ticket lady but I agree, they can be very tedious.
(, Thu 5 Jan 2006, 11:41, archived)
# Most of the tv shows I've seen filmed have been chat type shows
Like Room 101 or The Late Edition (which we're off to see again next week).

Which don't seem so bad as there aren't many retakes, they just sit and talk and edit it down later.
(, Thu 5 Jan 2006, 11:47, archived)
# Yeah, I've seen the late edition recently too
and it wasn't so bad - although they did edit out an entire guest!
(, Thu 5 Jan 2006, 11:51, archived)
# Hahaha!
Who?
(, Thu 5 Jan 2006, 11:55, archived)
# He was chairman of the Green party think
can't remember his name
