# I started by making a scrolling, tiling train.
Then I used displacement maps (in a similar way to the shear filter) to make it slanty. Two copies of this with opposite slants on them can be combined into one animation to make a kind of braid of trains. Then the polar coorindates filter turns it from a tiling animation to a circular loop.

Someone made a comment the other day, and i've tried it myself and it seems to work -

Sometimes your anims appear slightly 'stuttery', but for some odd reason if I right-click and open the properties window of the file (and close it again) it instantly runs smoother. How odd.

# That's annoying. Is this in IE?
(, Tue 28 Feb 2006, 14:48, archived)
# yes - unfortunately I use IE at work... i've not noticed it happenening at home when i'm running FireFox.
At first I thought it was our naff graphics card not being able to cope.
