but it works in ImageReady 3 (Photoshop 6).
You could try VirtualDubMOD too- it's free and can export frames easily enough.

In Ready, you have to have the right conversion codecs and newest version (if my senile brain remembers rightly)

My spakker way of doing it is to play the mpeg then pause it every time you want a still narmally straight on then off if yr building an animation, then when you have a still press ctrl + I
this only works with mpegs
