# Naughty step for that?
Someone is getting a little over zealous.
At least link it as so not to make it such a thread-waste.

# ^
This!
(, Tue 7 Mar 2006, 16:32, archived)
# yeah ^this
it may have been NSFW but a link stating that is fine surely?

these fcukin mods never get the balance right
(, Tue 7 Mar 2006, 16:32, archived)
# a link and a warning would have been
much more appropriate
(, Tue 7 Mar 2006, 16:34, archived)
# Lord Muntley's post is debateable, but it is not that being questioned.
It is deliberate threadwastage on the part of the mod that I am complaining about.
There is correction and then there is censorship.

# perhaps I wasn't clear,
but I was totally agreeing with you

# ah

# the balance is fine
we operate a NSFW rule on this site. Breaking it will get you naughty stepped.

This is not zealous. This is to stop people posting NSFW stuff and saying, "it's ok, it'll be modded."

People are working in the office - it's embarrassing to get photographs like this appearing on your screen. It puts people off from using the site.

If you don't want to be naughty stepped then don't post NSFW images inline in the board.

# I totally agree
Although I think it should have been left as a link, so that people can still check it out as opposed to an empty thread. But that's just my 2 pence worth..
(, Tue 7 Mar 2006, 16:41, archived)
# Yeah
I would have left the link in, but I typed over it by accident.
(, Tue 7 Mar 2006, 16:43, archived)
# i think what rob is trying to say,
is that even though the picture could be linked, the fact is that if every time it is linked, then people may eventually post any nsfw picture, anticipating the fact that a mod will come along and fix it.

i think anyhow.
(, Tue 7 Mar 2006, 16:43, archived)
# ah,
i'm wrong. :)

three cheers to simpler explanations.
(, Tue 7 Mar 2006, 16:45, archived)
# It didn't look NSFW to me
No nudey naughty bits at all.
How can you have an offensive challenge one week - I'd have had problems explaining why I was looking at some of that stuff.
And then delete a picture of a fully dressed lady bending over ?
(, Tue 7 Mar 2006, 16:45, archived)
# fully dressed?
*gets out notepad*
where do you live?
(, Tue 7 Mar 2006, 16:46, archived)
# Coventry
And I see girls wearing much less that that in the city centre every Friday night.
(, Tue 7 Mar 2006, 17:06, archived)
# read the FAQ
basically we say no to images that look like porn.

it's not censorhip of content - we don't care if you make photoshops of nuns being raped - but if your pic looks porny rather than cartoony/comic/silly then it can get people into trouble in the office.

Sauce Pic!
NSFW Allegedly - It's a lady in her pance !
(, Tue 7 Mar 2006, 16:36, archived)
# oh noes!!11!
nsfw
(, Tue 7 Mar 2006, 16:39, archived)
# mighty fine pance they are too
It is a little nsfw though to be honest, it would scare the bejaysus out of some of my colleagues.
(, Tue 7 Mar 2006, 16:43, archived)
# It's NSFW
because it's predominantly a lady's arse
I don't really see the confusion
