She's often telling me about the knifings that go on in and around her school.

that I would rather join the police force or the armed services than become a teacher. At least they arm you then.

I knew a bloke who worked at a special school for misfits, he got paid more but he also got more broken fingers & ribs (and a mental breakdown).

After a couple of years of mediocre teaching, he starts dating his 14 year old pupil. He probably shagged her when she was 15 and after that he left (voluntarily!) his teaching career to something else.

They're not really allowed to shout at them, even.

It really is the fault of the parents though; they tell the kids that if the teacher upsets them, then they'll go round and have a go at them.
The kids are essentially encouraged to act like shits because 'it's their right'.
