(, Wed 30 May 2007, 11:21, archived)
# Everytime I see that clip
I just want to hide away - the sheer cringeness permeates the screen and enters my soul!

Is that guy saying "Ligntning Bolt" as he'd feel even more of a tit saying "Bean Bag"?
(, Wed 30 May 2007, 11:27, archived)

the in character pubs sound the best bit

surely it's just acting, but without a camera or script
and for the sole enjoyment of the participants, and not an audience

honestly, i have more respect for someone who has the guts to LARP
than anyone who wastes time on their PCs playing MMORPGs
(, Wed 30 May 2007, 11:40, archived)
# yo! that's me!
I play an MMORPG but as a game rather than as an acting-in-character reolplay experience.

I find it fun and rewarding.
and it gets me laid

# ^THIS^
i think the southpark episode says it all.

i really don't have the dedication to spend hours and hours playing online.

i'd like to have invented the subscription system mind, blizzard must be raking it in.

(, Wed 30 May 2007, 11:19, archived)
# you lie
We all know girls don't play warhammer.

Was it a long haired emo by chance? Would explain the rejection...
(, Wed 30 May 2007, 11:21, archived)
# Don't know.
She's probably an emo now. Or a lesbian.

In retrospect when you're 15, any girl who plays warhammer is dateable
(, Wed 30 May 2007, 11:28, archived)
# my friends respective wives have all passed around a book called
"so your husband plays D&D"

I played DH for a while, they were hardcore. but the WH had bewbs and they were the only spacemarines that weren't overpowered.

# I used to paint and model miniatures*
of Adepta Sororitas and Tyranids. Never really got the 'playing' bit, the semi-art bit was more my thing. Rather calming.

*only miniature I model now is my tiny penis
(, Wed 30 May 2007, 11:29, archived)
# I tried playing it.
But we (my friend and I) had a habit of making up rules we couldn't understand. Also, we were both Space Marines, which made things difficult.

I really wanted to get into the playing scene, but I attended a games day at one of the Games Workshops, and the guy running it was such a complete CUNT that it put me off.
(, Wed 30 May 2007, 11:34, archived)
# yea, most people who go to Games Workshop are obnoxious
You've really got to get a couple of friends into it
(, Wed 30 May 2007, 11:39, archived)
# there does tend to be a bit of a mini-hitler thing at work sometimes
Our local store (Oxford) was run by really genuinely enthusiastic guys (obviously, not girls) who seemed to understand that their personal restraint when teaching made it better. They were a credit to their overzealous breed.

I used to paint+model rather well (if I do say so myself) and tended to place/win in the local cometitions til a Golden Demon winner moved in and shat on me from a massive height.

la la la.

Edit: also I can't FUCKING SPELL

# This was the one at Bedford.
The guys at Luton were alright.
The Cribbs Causeway employees are like cave-dwellers. The shop is in the corner of the Mall, and it's often dark. It's tiny, and there are only 2 employees there, who can usually be found hunched over a table the size of a tolet seat, painting, and occasionally grunting at anyone who comes in.

Still the main office at Nottingham is good, except they got rid of all the huge diaramas they set up about 10-15 years ago :(

Oh. Got piccies I think (NERD ALERT!): Flickr
