Fear and Loathing the film is good.
Johnny Depp does a very good hunter, and Benicio Del Toro....well, I bum him, as you know. But he's still great.

F&LILV is a good trippy weird film.
falling down is a bit pants, it has some moments but is middling as a film.

it's his best film

true
also, I hate the cruise, too but he has been good in some films.
I think it's when they are actually acting, and you can forget how annoying they are.

Perfect Murder and The Game
are also good. You really should reconsider your ban on Michael Douglas movies.

He's good in it, though
Total pisscrane normally, but when he threatens that bloke for breakfast with a machine gun you can't help but empathise.

I'm not sure if that's a good indicator of whether or not they are 'good' though.

falling down is a great movie
about being really, really angry at things.
the scene where the main character has an argument in a burger place over whether he should be allowed to have the breakfast menu despite it being 12:05 is great.
