# May i ask
How do you capture film footage like this?
(, Sun 24 Jun 2007, 18:37, archived)
# You can do it
the hard way, by finding the DVD and then playing it through your PC, and pausing at the appropriate moments (then press Prt-Scr to capture it)

or

the easy way, by finding the clips on a video clip web-site (other video clip sites are available) and press Prt-Scr at the appropriate moment

At least, that's how I'm doing it. Which is possibly why it takes me about 3 hours to do them :-o
(, Sun 24 Jun 2007, 18:41, archived)
# I got the feeling you were doing that from the Domo one
if you use a video clip web-site, you can convert them into an avi and load it into imageready.

I can't remember which programs, but there's an online one here
vixy.net/

edit: i can't get it to work at the mo :|

# well that
might have saved me some time :o

ta for the tip, as it will save me some time on the next one currently in progress, but will be posted tomorrow if all goes well. Not sure if it's going to be shrinkable to 250KB though, it's going to be a fair bit longer :-D

# The Gimp can extract video-frames from some files
but you need to be carefull or it crashes
it will extract from quicktime movies from www.OSF.co.uk for example
