Oh Romeo. Wherefore art though Romeo? Deny thy father and refuse thy name;
Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love,
And I'll no longer be a Capulet.

Way to ruin that. I love quoting Romeo and Juliet. It's my favorite Shakespeare play.

I liked it better than than the Zeffirelli version.
Also, I read for Romeo in English class. That was awesome. It was during Act v, so I got to drink poison and die, too.

the zeffirelli version, while including Basil from Austin Powers, was nothing compared to the awesome that was Baz Lurrhman's Romeo + Juliet :D
Also... you were Romeo? Forgive me when I say I can not imagine that working in the slightest!

And the characters cast in Z's version it felt like...watching child porn? I dunno. The way and kissed and stuff was wrong for a 13 year old and a 16 year old. They just seemed so young. Which they're supposed to, but still.
yeah. it didn't really. This girl Aly was Paris. She has long curly hair and wears a lot of Abercrombie. It was very odd. But I did get to stab her with aremote control sword.

Radiohead wrote a lot of the music in it, anyway. They wrote all the little incidental bits too, I think.

Still leaning towards abstraction but very pleasant nonetheless. I'd be very willing to see what you could do if you moulded them into representational shapes.

The whole PURPOSE of abstract art is to represent thoughts and ideas rather than tangible forms. If it represents an actual object plain and simple, it's not abstract. Stop subverting language and getting bogged down in semantics.

I just do whatever I want.
It's not as abstract as some things I've done, and it's not as representational as some things I've done.
Some people can't see it's a woman, some people can.
When I look at this, I see a muppet.
When you look at it, you see a woman, apparently.
It all depends on how you look at it.

is a somewhat arrogant way of carrying on carrying on. "Well I don't follow rules in art, I just do whatever I want." will not get you very far at all. This is why revolutionary artists are very rarely under 25 - you need to study these things. Art these days is rarely there to look pretty, but if it is, then it is, and I'd personally say you can't turn back and say it's representational after that.
To me, art is as much a science as it is creativity, and if you're going to be going into the world of abstraction, get ready to learn a lot about a lot of people.

I enjoy discovering new ways of getting strange effects.
I don't want to be a "revolutionary artist".
I want to be me, and I want to do things my way.
