where you just float them in warm water for a long time. The idea is to cook them more evenly, so that if you time it right the whole egg can be perfectly cooked.
Personally though I think 'perfectly cooked' is a preference, not an absolute state. I could be wrong in this instance though. I've never had an egg cooked that way.
