# lemon and regular sugar
is a staple filling for pancakes in England ( on the traditional pancake day ) and whilst I love maple syrup on mine too ( another hangover from Canada ) To call the traditional filling 'bullshit' is hardly on when he wants to know how English pancakes are made.
English pancakes is a misnomer anyway. It's just a copy of crepe suzette without the zest added. Pancake batter is nothing more than yorkshire pudding batter just cooked differently.

# :S the lemon would sweeten you up
besides, he can read the recipe and if he wants to have lemon he can have lemon.

I just think it's a bullshit filling compared to maple syrup
