sure, no problem
The Lemmy one looks damn good on A4 :)
I'm thinking of doing some much larger versions myself and getting them printed at A3 or A2.

I think they'd be amazing as posters
How do you make them, exactly?

take a photo
create a text layer and duplicated it as many times as you want for the various colours/shades of grey. Make the text into the colour you want. Rasterize the text layers. Then it's a process of selecting an area of colour to match a layer and then inverting that selection. Repeat for each layer and create one bottom layer of white. Job done. No trace of the original image is left :)

thanks :)
I still love the Lemmy one, but the Stevie Wonder one has the most detail and certainly has the greatest "wow" factor I think.

It is my fav too so far, and may stay so.
Bit nutty about him. You won't run dry of
suggestions, but Eno has lots of pics to use.

I can find pics
but finding pics that then work is a lot more difficult. I wasted about 3 hours last night on a picture of The Boss but had to bin it.

The more difficult, the better the result.

If you're taking requests
or at least, looking for cool ideas, I reckon you couldn't go wrong with a bit of Jerry Garcia...

I'll put it in the list
but it will be a few days or more. I'm trying to go through some really instantly recognisable ones first and then move on to the pet projects for you lovely peeps :)

cheers
I'm enjoying doing them (well, apart from the binning of poor pictures after spending 3 hours trying to make it work, when clearly it wasn't going to work in the first place :o)
Thinking Tina Tuner as my next one :D. Tried Presley this morning and it just did not work.

If you're printing them, keep in mind the dimensions.
The Springsteen is square so it might difficult to get printed as a standard size.

Really? I've got a few psd's in this style somewhere.
Time for some research, methinks.

They really don't sell them for much
But the volume of people buying them makes it worth while ...... if you're sitting on a stall all day selling similar stuff anyway.

I might give it a go on the weekends at the local markets.
Just have to find a decent print service to make it viable.
