It's just done my a market research company to fill up a newspaper page. You can tell it's not done with any expertise They have James west in there on his work on the electrec mic. They obvioulsy think that makes the list look diverse and intelligent.
There are many types of mic. If you compare his contribution to music with someone like Dave Smith who created MIDI it's nothing!
