# I gave in to my (approximately) annual urge to replay those
and kicked off MI1 last night :D

# not just me then
and I'm not even a fan of those sort of 'click all over the screen until you find the bit that does something' games, but I am somehow drawn in by the MIs

# Sadly, this is the only type of game I really enjoy
and it's a type that stopped developing like a decade ago :(
Even King's Quest went all crappy 3D and RPG!

I feel very left out, but at least I have MI to return to

# yeah
this stuff was really good.
you must know all the other classics, right?
DOTT, Indy & Atlantis (so-so), sam&max?
but MI is really out there
(, Wed 7 Jan 2009, 14:06, archived)
# Oh yes, played it all :D
MI is definitely the best, and I love the 'unable to die' thing, not least of all because it takes some really neat plot to enable you to make mistakes and not have to restart!

I hate pixel-searching with the rest of them, but I truly mourn the games industry moving away from the best type there is*. Even with all the interest that still remains almost 10 years later, it doesn't look like they'll ever make the coveted MI sequel.

*warning: opinions may vary ;)

# DOTT and sam and max are outstanding games....
"Sam, mind if I drive?"
"Not if you mind me clawing at the dash, and shrieking like a cheerleader!"

# Heheheh yes!

Also: Grim Fandango.

# DOTT is my personal favourite.
I became a much happier person when I discovered DOSbox and could play it again.

# use ScummVM - it's MUCH better for any of the lucasarts adventures
(, Wed 7 Jan 2009, 14:21, archived)
# That's what I use
but it's messed up the timing on the subtitles for MI1, you can't make them scroll any quicker and it's painstaking

Other than that though, I recommend it to everyone, it's an excellent tool :D

# There's a RPG King's Quest?

I used to play them all, MI, KQ, SQ, PQ, LSL...and I still do sometimes
(, Wed 7 Jan 2009, 14:07, archived)
# The final one was called 'King's Quest: Mask of Eternity' I think
and it was basically a RPG, yes. With really shit 3D.
