... although I don't know.
I'm a little conflicted, as a /boarder who seldom posts a new image...

If we could just do away with the archaic code and use a proper modern bulletin board then none of this would matter. You could go where you chose, you would only see what you chose, you have a thread all for your own image.
It works quite well for the rest of the fucking internet.

meticulous and boring pics lose out to fast and fun stuff, the conversation flows more fluidly, and the threading is much, much better than phpbb

and if 15 days time was April 1st I'd not care. Can you imagine what the death of talk would do to this board? 1 picture every 20 threads and 90% of threads nothing but faq nazi battles?

that's exactly what things were like before /talk was created. No funny and original pictures at all. Everyone just shouting about things being over 50KB and being generally unpleasant.

/Talk's being shut down.
We're all discussing where to head next.
The common consensus is that they'll follow me, b3ta's leader and all round good egg.

I want an iPhone for starters. Then we can look into some kind of cheap hosting service with porn ads on the side.

1. The patient expresses an idea or belief with unusual persistence or force.
2. That idea appears to exert an undue influence on his or her life, and the way of life is often altered to an inexplicable extent.
3. Despite his/her profound conviction, there is often a quality of secretiveness or suspicion when the patient is questioned about it.
4. The individual tends to be humorless and oversensitive, especially about the belief.
5. There is a quality of centrality: no matter how unlikely it is that these strange things are happening to him, the patient accepts them relatively unquestioningly.
6. An attempt to contradict the belief is likely to arouse an inappropriately strong emotional reaction, often with irritability and hostility.
7. The belief is, at the least, unlikely.
8. The patient is emotionally over-invested in the idea and it overwhelms other elements of his psyche.
9. The delusion, if acted out, often leads to behaviors which are abnormal and/or out of character, although perhaps understandable in the light of the delusional beliefs.
10. Individuals who know the patient will observe that his belief and behavior are uncharacteristic and alien.
