# Can we officially call it GatelyGate now?
(, Mon 19 Oct 2009, 10:40, archived)
# There are some nice links down the page about the similarities....

# hjahahahahaha!
Yeah, I posted some...

Found out today Dacre is on the board of the PCC, so no suprise to discover nothing will happen
(, Mon 19 Oct 2009, 10:45, archived)
# Not just on the board,
but it's head n'est-ce pas? Also, technically, our complaints mean fuck all to the PCC without any complaint from anyone directly affected by the story, i.e. Stephen Gately or Kevin McGees family. Or gays. But they're made up by The Daily Mail anyway as a renewable energy source.

# I'd like next weeks challenge to be anti daily mail / tabloid in general
(, Mon 19 Oct 2009, 11:21, archived)
# Was done less than a year ago.
(, Mon 19 Oct 2009, 11:25, archived)
# Yeah I just got that email from the PCC
I hope the Gatelys take them to the fucking cleaners, but going up against Dacre would be really horrible for them
(, Mon 19 Oct 2009, 11:30, archived)
# It;s such a fucking horrible position for them to be put in.
I can wholly understand if they wouldn't want the stress, but at the same time they need to say something if it isn't going to continue unchecked. How he can run a group that is meant to control him I have no fucking idea.

# is that Frank Skinner's body?

# Yes.

# I have a horrible feeling the 2 bastards will walk free from this
The Mail took the high moral ground over "Sachsgate", but they will brush this one under the carpet. Not that I'm in favour of any ScandalGates - (a totally meaningless concept thesedays as everyfuckingthing is scandalous - oh dear the scandal of it all!) but I feel the Mail have done nothing to make amends for the hurt they caused nor do they grasp the extent of hatred they spread in that rag they call a newspaper.

# ^This X20^
What little response the Mail has given has been less than conciliatory. I reckon thay are going to hunker down say as little as possible and hope it blows over.
(, Mon 19 Oct 2009, 10:48, archived)
# I think their tactic is clear
Blame Stephen Fry, Blame Twitter for blowing it out of proportion - ofc those on Twitter are hive-minded morons without any individuality and free thinking thought process so how dare they get outraged at poor Jan Moir's nudge nudge wink wink reporting of the "facts" ;)
(, Mon 19 Oct 2009, 10:55, archived)
# It's funny that whenever the media mention Twitter
they always feel the need to mention Stephen Fry!
(, Mon 19 Oct 2009, 10:58, archived)
# Yes because Stephen Fry is the Internet
we plug into him daily - which he enjoys ;)
(, Mon 19 Oct 2009, 11:00, archived)
# Well...
(, Mon 19 Oct 2009, 11:12, archived)
# Apparently it's an 'orchestrated hate campaign' by 'them lot'
(, Mon 19 Oct 2009, 11:05, archived)
# Yes because the Daily Mail isn't known for any kind of Orchestrated Hate Campaigns
- sorry I seem to have broken my sarcasm-o-meter plugin for this browser lol

# The Mail is saying they have sparked a nice little debate about it on internetland
(, Mon 19 Oct 2009, 11:00, archived)
# When you say 'internetland' in terms of the Daily Mail
it puts me in mind of Hitler annexing the Sudetenland.
