This is a normal post What gets me
is that the billboards would have cost them about £20k, I reckon, minimum.

You'd have thought if they were outlaying that much, they might have bothered hiring a decent graphic designer as well.

Or, like, writing a coherent ad.

This is a normal post Coherent?
I'd imagine it makes total sense if you're the sort of person who thinks spending that amount of money on a billboard campaign for freeman of the land stuff is sensible.

This is a normal post Yes
For example, you don’t need a licence to drive/ride. If accidently you left your licence at home you could still drive perfectly well without it, right? Licences are only required by those who are under jurisdiction of the legal system, i.e. those who ignorantly believe they are the LEGAL NAME or knowingly consent to be it.

This is a normal post haha, also this
"...if you do not consent to be a legal name, police officers take on the role of peace officers acting to help and protect you if others try to harm you/try to make you answer to the name."

Which I think means that they're ok with being protected by the legal system but don't want to be subject to it? Excellent.
