...Never realised I was bed making at a world class level before.

I'd be faster than these guys but probably not as accurate or consistent. Training could fix that. What kind of money does a pro competitive bed maker make?

This is a normal post The duvet looks a bit thin for Blighty, and no-one I know would willingly use a flat sheet.
But if you want a hassle-free duvet, turn the cover inside out, put your hands in, grab the two top corners of the duvet and shake liberally.
