If this is the same condition as the famous goats it's not actually a faint, it's a fault in their body chemistry that causes paralysis when excited or surprised, so I assume there was often some noise we couldn't hear like someone clapping?
They can NEVER be allowed out the house anywhere near traffic poor loves.
