Why do parents think they have the right to park illegally if they are going anywhere near a school?

The policeman was actually very nice and didn't get all of the cars towed by the council, which is what I would've done....but I'm a tool.

The only thing separating DM readers from Telegraph readers is the amount of money they have. Telegraph readers have more of it and DM readers are jealous of it, leading to some pretty bitter sniping sometimes.
In all other things they're more or less identical though.

Park across my drive,on double yellows and actually 'on' the green over the road (as the have a 4x4)

The school run is a disgrace. I have to drive as I go straight to work, but I park a fair distance form the school and me and Freya walk it in. Parking close to the school is atrocious (perfect fodder for your website btw)and I've had many a shouty argument with parents (actually mostly mothers in their over sized 4x4 that they drive like mini coopers). It's a fucking disgrace (and will no doubt cause an accident or two) and good to see someone doing something about for a change!!
