I'm sure they deal with this sort of stuff every single day. Can't imagine what the job is like TBH.

If it were many, many other countries he'd be dead. And some might argue he was more than asking for it.
But yeah, Taff did a good job.

Safer for him than twatting him with a baton.
It sounds like the officer said it was because he was going for *himself* with the knife so disabling him was safer.

I would guess he is a mentally troubled soul
I was under the impression that our armed police can be called out for situations like that; given the circumstances tasering him seems fairly kind.

Given the alternative...
I think I'll side with the cops on this one.
If I could form a sentence half as calm and rational as that after disarming a knife wielding attacker, I'd consider myself a legitimate bad-ass.

No doubt they were cool customers
What I meant was that they were tasering him for their safety, he was wielding two big knives around in a crazed state. I think the cops were in more danger than he was

I get ya
The taser is there to protect them more than him.
I took it more as a-
'since we can't really leave you out here, and we don't particularly want to die, at least you can rest assured that this is better than being killed or beaten' kind of safety.
also, if they had to pile in, and just wrestle the knifes off him, it's not unlikely that he could have been stabbed himself.
