This is a normal post I think the struggling will help to get as much of the blood out as possible
that's why she didn't snap the head off too quickly, I imagine. I assume blood draining keeps things fresher and cleaner to butcher later.

I am not much of an authority on meat, so I might be talking tosh, but that is how I interpreted events.

Cooling helps reduce meat being spoiled by bacteria, and so keeps fresher longer.

I was comparing the twisted reframing of the words used.

If you are going to kill the chicken, say it. Don't pretend you are doing the chicken a favour.
