yeah it works like but
google drive is not very user friendly when trying to watch a video from a link. best tell people to download it and then watch it. but then you have that issue of "is it safe?" you, know downloading a link from somebody's google drive that you don't know and all that.

Meh.
I'm reasonably happy to sacrifice some of my privacy in order to be granted access to services such as Gmail (which is absolutely spectacular for a 'free' email provider). And let's be honest, the reason Google is so fucking good is almost exclusively down to users volunteering their data.
If people aren't happy with that, then fair play. But I can't help feeling that many of them are cutting off their nose to spite their face if they're genuinely freezing Alphabet Inc. out of their online presence. I'd imagine it would make most Android based phones practically useless ‐ what's the alternative if you require a smartphone? Apple?!

I agree entirely I use Gmail all the time
If something is private I would rarely be emailing it and if I was its not hard to use winrar or whatever and password protect the file

duckduckgo.com is my go to - if you can't get a good enough result then put in !g in the search string and it will open up google search automatically
