I loved watching his telly as a kid. One thing always bugged me as a kid, though - he always did just that bit too much on everything he made on telly, and tended to render it twee at the last second. But it was cocking ace he was there on the screen, bigging up the stuff I loved most - art.

that b3ta would not be what it is today, or maybe even exist, without his influence on generations of kids. He really did have a way of inspiring creativity.

..if it wasn't for the fact that (as in all compos) over 80% of the entries would be pictures of him being jizzed on, decapitated and / or buggered by a chaffinch.
