I proclaim that this self proclaimed 'paedophile' and 'hunter' is guilty of paedophillia (he even hunts himself)

I've seen this guy's stuff before.
I applaud what he's doing but every one of his vids that I've seen feature him enticing some saddo to meet up with a 15 year old girl for sex. Now - if you're going to go entrapping nonces, why not go for the REAL scum who want to shag properly young kids? Am I saying it's right to shag 15 year olds? No. (Although in much of Europe it's fine). I'm just saying it's quite obviously worse to have sex with an 8 year old. It seems like a missed opportunity to me. Maybe I'm wrong and he does go after the uber-nonces but - as I say - the videos I've seen always seem to use 15 year old as bait.

I've just had a look thriiygh his vids and it does seem he uses 14 year olds (and occasionally younger) as bait too. Still, I'd prefer him to go after the toddler-rapers.

I don't.
It's out-and-out vigilantism; it's counterproductive (it risks derailing prosecutions, and it certainly undermines whatever tentative steps might be possible in respect of reform); it's woefully underinformed about paedophilia; and it ignores the fact that the vast majority of child abuse takes place in the home.
It's bone-headed tabloid justice.

agree
he'd be better off starting or joining a campaigning or lobbying group so that he can change the law (or how the government enforces those laws) if he doesn't agree with it

You want to weed out the Paedophiles from the Ephebophiles
so that there's no moral or legal grey area

What a moral beacon Stinson Hunter is.
Hang on. What a moral beacon Kieren Parsons (convicted of assaulting a woman) is. He's a low-level cunt. No degree in law, no qualifications to do what he's doing etc. He's ruined a lot of innocent people's lives. Let's just be clear that "innocent" means "not proven guilty in a court of law" and not "chased down a street being called a Paedo, filmed and causing the victim's wife to attempt suicide with an overdose of pills". There are possible cunts on the other side of the equation, but Mr Hunter has proven that he's a cunt of the highest rank.

No it doesn't. The way you've phrased it, innocence would simply mean not having been found guilty yet. (Indeed, Scottish law has "not proven" as a possible verdict - it's analogous to "we don't believe you're innocent, but can't prove the case one way or the other".) Things are much simpler than you imply: innocence is the default: while someone against who the case hasn't been proved is legally innocent, their innocence doesn't depend on the case not having been proven.

I knew I'd get told off for not writing that accurately :)
I guess I'm saying that it's not up to Homer Stimson to declare who is guilty of quite horrible crimes. By doing so, it would appear that he's taking the law into his own hands and inciting mob justice. These put-upon people would surely be within their rights to sue him for slander/libel or whatever.
I'm sure Stimson will fight the moral high ground ("they're paedos innit?") until kingdom come but he's got to start acting within the law.
EDIT: This bloke worked for my Dad. LOL. articles.baltimoresun.com/2002-08-08/news/0208080266_1_carroll-county-burton-frederick-county

b3ta links board is not the place for cogent arguments, grammar, spelling, and manners
what you're getting at is that he should make a citizen's arrest if he believes an offence has been committed, but instead he finds these men guilty without due process and in place of the courts. He is acting as undercover policeman as well as judge and jury with no qualifications, training, supervision, nor authority.

It just sounds like he's just trying to create an excuse
for when the police ask him why he spends so much time on internet chatrooms pretending to be a child.
"I'm not a paedophile, I'm a paedophile hunter"
Also: Is he dressed as Ian Watkins in order to go undercover?
