I always give fuck-all to office collections, and write the bare minimum in people's birthday cards.
Came as a surprise when I got £75 as a wedding present. Not going to change my ways though. It's the principle, see.
To be fair, if I like someone enough I'll get them a present myself. Luckily, I don't like any of my colleagues.

Ah
Nope. Its not actually. Though having worked in a terrible office for many years these office based things do spill into our stuff a lot.

Sounds a bit like the twats in my office.
Every year some fucker signs up for the "Wear It Pink" wackiness (wankiness), insists that everyone wears something pink and expects instant donations to the charity. If you wear pink, you give £2. If you don't wear pink, it's a £5 'fine'. To avoid kicking up a stink and telling them that, actually, they can't *make* me give them money, I just take the day off. Luckily it coincided with my honeymoon this year.
