but it seems to hinge on the idea that the info was gleaned via torture, which is the viewpoint the right in the usa are taking, thus allowing more torture on the grounds that it works. I find this difficult to believe when all the evidence is that torture doesn't work, the tortured tell the torturers what they want to hear and if they hold out and the torture escalates, eventually they break so badly and hide inside a broken mind where no amount of torture will do anything.

If that's the case, why didn't the Bush/Cheney/Runsfeld administration pick him up? It would have justified their war in Afghanistan, sealed Bush's place in history and guaranteed the neo-cons a third term.
