I'm sure it is.
But I wouldn't demo it if the game looked so completely unplayable.

The onscreen avatar
doesn't seem to be doing much of what the player is doing, but it's hard to judge as we don't know what the action IRL is meant to generate onscreen, really, tho that leaning forward 'force run' thing looks kinda odd.
I'm not a fan of the whole leaping about like a knob to play a computer game malarky anyhoo TBH, had a Wii in the early days and altho fun for a few parties the novelty wore off REAL quick!

Agreed, there's a limit to how much you can expect any avatar to reflect what the player does.
And the avatar needs to be able to do more than the player can; but it does look totally unresponsive to what the player's doing.

I'm 43 mate
and it ain't stopped me behaving like a big kid when something cool comes out, yet...
and to all those who look down their noses at older guys for 'not growing up and acting their age' fuck off, you only get one life and we've already had yours, we'll acquire plenty of dignity when laying in a coffin, I'm sure, till then, so much more stuff to enjoy!

they should have put obi-wan in a wheelchair
that floaty dash movement looks wierd.
I still stand by my original opinions of arm-flailing games ive had since the wii was around.

in fact - that would be the perfect solution!
They could say its a side-story set between the first and second films where obi wan gets hospitalized, but they still need him in battle. He can float around in a hover-wheelchair, and his delayed spasms and arm waves could be attributed to his injuries and medications.

Someone should make a rival home entertainment console called Spuunk
then we could all debate the pros and cons of having a Wii versus a Spuunk.

well, the new PSP already sounds like some sort of female aimed health product or snack.
Perhaps the new Wii will be called shart?

The Wii was showing its age when it came out.
I mean, what self-respecting gamer and/or Star Wars fan is going to want to get off their arse and swing around like a total prat, only to be greeted with graphics and gameplay that would be laughed off the N64?

If you think Wii graphics would be laughed off the N64...
... you don't remember the N64 very well :)

Yeah, but you have to admit, the Wii's graphics aren't fantastic.
Then again, you wouldn't need much graphic processing to show how much you weigh, or how good you are at swinging a remote around.

hmmm... it all looks a bit shakey at the moment.
I think I'll stick with the old Jedi Knight games, or even Force Unleashed until the technology improves and there is a free-roaming (unlike what looks like an on-rails affair), really responsive game.
To be honest, I wold have thought a free roaming lightsaber game would be more suited to the PS3 with the move controller for a lightsaber and the navigational contoller for movement...

Star Wars
The dead horse they will keep on flogging.
The Kinect stuff looks very ropey. Looks like it wasn't ready but they had to show something.

Scanning
They have just showed the kinect scanning the user and creating the avatar from the scan. Within 10 seconds of this going live I call someone scanning themselves naked.

I think some sort of air-humping game would be great!
Good exercise too. With extra points for hitting the screen with your splodge.
