Bollocks
The snake (a common brown snake) has been attached to the redback's web by fish hook and line. Also, "deadliest" is a silly term to use with venomous/poisonous animals. Especially the Australian ones.
Sorry, a pet peeve.

Would only be impressive
if it was a fully grown brown snake.
Seen some close to 2 metres long (a guess from a distance of greater than 20 metres).
By the way they are protected and you are not supposed to kill them. Indeed most people are bitten while trying to "kill the snake". Or you get bitten if you step on one but sometimes you just get a dry warning bite for that. Make noise when you walk through long grass and they keep away.
As for the redback they are not protected and when disturbed tend to roll into a ball so you ignore them.
Very difficult to get any aggression out of them. Usually let em ball and squash em. Very few people bitten by them. They live under my front steps and I mess them up with a broom occasionally. The webs are quite strong so could probably just hold a baby snake like in the video.
Would say the video was staged though.
