you could even have a 'Q' instead of a 'C' icon for qotw entries
also, for people on /offtopic who whinge the board goes too fast, use gaz or something instead, yeah?

I've recently been on a three-week holiday, and in that time I only had access to an iPhone with wi-fi for my internetting needs. Upon seeing a link that looks interesting I could A) follow the link instantly, which wasn't always convenient, 2) click 'I like this' so that my profile would remember it, and hope that when I got around to seeing it I actually did like it, or finally) write it down and search for it later, which would have been the best option if only search were working.
Which it isn't.

plaster them all over the site, have the word 'b3ta' rotating in all 4 corners of every page on this website. each link should light up in a multicolour firework effect every time you hover over it. all icons should be animated too.
i feel this would give b3ta the edge needed in today's comedy website market.

A mobile site (m.b3ta.com perhaps?) or a decent iOS app. Reader works well enough in safari, except that you have to turn it on for each page on every visit, and you can't reply without quitting reader either.
Also, perhaps an optional option (hehe) in your profile to get an email for any reply to your post?

as to when they may possibly be intending to do so?
If the person respossible is not intending to fix the search function at all, could they please possibly just tell us and perhaps just remove the button that says search?
I choose not to display my donation icon, but do have several, (Any Mod can probably check this in my profile) so if it's a matter of funds to pays someone to fix it, you could release a new icon to pay for it, I for one would be glad to chip in a few quid (Even though I choose not to display it) as I'm sure many others here would be too.
Please could you fix it please, or just be honest and tell us you can't be bothered to and just remove the button.
Or at least just tell us when you intend to do it, or even the reason why it hasn't been done, like there is some major problem in doing it.
I would say thankyou, but it seems doubtfull that no one with the power to fix it ever reads this page anyway.

QOTW could have a separate board called /pun.

Here, petitions could be made as to which post constitutes excessive trolling, which post while not marked NSFW certainly would be NSFW in my office thank you very much, and whether posting three links of your shitty blog in an hour constitutes spamming, as it's not as if you've been replying to anyone elses you spamming shitcunt. Evidence could be weighed then coloured balls placed in a pickled onion jar by the council members and tallied. Decisions would be conveyed by releasing puffs of white smoke which the mods would then interpret as they saw fit.

Well apparently (and I'm pretty sure it's early adopter stuff so you might not want to risk it) it's possible to have something similar within a website! How cool is that! Imagine being able to 'search' (for want of a better description) within a website to find interesting things!
Any chance you could add something like that on here? I know it's probably really technically difficult but do you fancy giving it a try?

Often I will read something that reminds me of a previous amusing post that I would like to read again. Unfortunately this often proves impossible as the sheer volume of fantastic content created by b3ta users every day means there is a lot of material to look through!
Would it be possible to create a 'query' function where I can provide a search term that can be matched to previous posts to make them easier to find?
Yours sincerely,

use certain terms to see if there is any relevant info on this site? urls or usernames for example. I am sure that some users would use it.

Seeing as you obviously have no fucking intention to fix it, and it's been this way for over 3 months now, just remove the link and stop getting people's hopes up.

'So b3ta is now being edited for you by people who don't like you? How odd.'
succinctly put by enceladus today. sort it out, i'd rather stay logged in and see b3ta as it should be, not have to keep logging out.

You know how there's a QOTW poll? Why can't there be one for the potential banning/stepping of a poster, so that if some crybaby prick runs to the mods about someone who's generally found to be entertaining, there's a last chance of reprieve? Obviously the problem with this would be when the whiny crybabies outnumber those thicker skinned folk with a sense of fucking humour but it'd be worth a try.
