So am I not allowed to sing Strawberry Pancake then?

There's quite a strong argument for using the phrase
"Mmmmm ... lovely, lovely burgers ... " though.

South Yorkshire Police's motto
Justice with Courage... In other words, we smile when we hit you.

The biggest waste of public money in the county. Public Relations for South Yorkshire Police makes the half arsed attempt at regeneration in Rotherham look like a complete success!

This seems strangely familiar

Comfort Break
Really means five minutes for a piss, but you can't put that on a meeting agenda.
(, Thu 8 Apr 2010, 17:52, closed)
European law...
Says that any vehicle over 3.5 tonnes must be speed limited to 90Kph, which is 56mph. It's supposed to be the most fuel efficient speed for the trucks to run at as well as reducing the risks of tyre blowouts. Still bloody annoying when one truck overtakes another on a three lane motorway though.
(, Thu 8 Apr 2010, 17:55, closed)
Though some of them....
...have limiters that only kick in after a few seconds. If you're prepared to turn the engine off and on again rather a lot, you can get a big truck up to 80-something. So I hear, anyway.

No 100 km/h is 56 mph

*belm*
www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/roadsafety/speedmanagement/vanspeedlimits
The [...] vehicles that are required to have a speed limiter are those which were registered after 30th September 2001 and have a gross design weight of over 3.5 tonnes.

Please shut the fuck up, you're embarrassing yourself.

Okay, 'shut the fuck up' was harsh.
It just grinds my gears when people maintain they're correct without bothing to do a simple google search which would show they're wrong.

Your calculator's broken

Inflammable
means that something will ignite easily.

Although this is no longer used much as it confuses Americans and dumb people.
(, Thu 8 Apr 2010, 18:02, closed)

and flammable?
(, Thu 8 Apr 2010, 19:01, closed)
Means it can catch fire (but not necessarily easily).

Comfort break
I'd love to dare anyone who hears these words in in a meeting to say loudly "Thank fuck for that. I've had a hard-on/wide-on (as appropriate) since we started. I'm off for a wank"
