This is a question Crap Gadgets

We wanted a monkey butler and bought one off eBay. Imagine our surprise when we found it was just an ordinary monkey with rabies. Worse: It had no butler training at all. Tell us about your duff technology purchases.

Thanks to Moonbadger for the suggestion

Slow cookers are gadgets of win
My mum and dad got the missus and I a slow cooker a couple of Christmasses ago. The missus was a bit "Errrr..." but I was well chuffed and she's since seen the benefit. It's a posh one which can go on the hob, in the oven or on its stand.

We often make chilli verde in it. Put all the ingredients in the night before, give it a stir in the morning and put it on "low" and go to work. It's a fab feeling to walk in and the homely smell of dinner hits you and you're starving. 10 minutes to do some rice job done.

With the above evidence given by the other jurors, I'd like the case for slow cookers to be classed as a "crap gadget" be thrown out, m'lud.

Having taken into consideration..
the evidence presented before me today I would hereby like to rescind the motion to have the humble slow cooker castigated into the land of crap gadgets. I have discovered that they were not quite as crap as I thought they were and there appeared to have been an error with the user.
