This is a question Get Rich Quick

Jabboy contacted us because he's skint. So what have you done to make money fast? Did you actually make anything, or were you just ripped off by someone who really was getting rich quick? Did you have to sell your soul?

PS. Jabboy is available for rent on 0870 88673242

Become an expert in something
...then buy and sell.

For example:

I am a bit of a collector of vinyl records. I was leafing through a box of records down Hitchin market when I spotted something which I knew to be rare and collectable priced at a mere £6. I snapped it up.

On the way home I called at the home of this record dealing geezer who gave me £10 for it. That's a profit of £4 for 30 minutes work and 20 years of accumulated knowledge.

Help me.

Hitchin?
Dear jesus no.

that's a paltry profit for 20 years of expertise!
I have 8 years of expertise and my daily consultancy rate is £750, which is low for my field, apparently.

I don't get consulted all that much though. Insulted, yes.

The trouble with selling vinyl...
..is that it's hard to part with. I'm in dire-straights financially and could probably make £1000-2000 by selling my record collection but.. no. Just no. I'd rather sell all my clothes.

Cue
Jokes about owning Dire Straights records.. which I quite unashameably do..

@MM
if I get 2 or 3 days consultancy a year, I'm lucky, and usually it ends up taking a lot more unbillable time so it's a hassle.

Crack
Fortunately I have a passing knowledge of Oracle databases these days but I'd love to jack it in and get meself a market stall selling used records.

There's a worrying amount of Hitchin people.
I didn't like Rhythms so much, this year.

Letchworth
Sorry to hear that ;-)

I've moved away now, I gather Rhythms is now mostly in the Priory park? Sounds OK, plenty of grass on which to park ones arse.

Hitchin
I work in Hitchin but live in Luton. Hitchin is nicer than Luton. That is all.

Hitchin crew eh?
Never knew of any others who had experienced the delights of Hitchin.
I used to live in Pirton, now moved away.
Used to love Hitchin when was little- had loads of nice little shops (e.g the coffee shop or the sweet shop with the little old lady who persisted in selling in 1/4 pounds)

Pirton massive
I was in the Holwell not-so-massive.
I'm virtually telling you my name given the size of the place.

Hmmm, could be on to something..
Right, MY consultancy rate is £1,000,000.

Just one days' work is all I need.

Just one day..

Pirton?
Pah! Step off, bitches. Yesterday I was in Letchworth and then we were drinking in Stotfold. Yeah, that's right, south central Stotfold. Damn, it feels good to be a gangster.
