This is a question Horrible things I've done to a loved one

You shat on her Justin Bieber poster because you adore her. She cleaned the toilet bowl with your toothbrush for the same reason. Tell us of the times true love has not been as true as it should

This has been touched upon in replies to other questions,
but, the reason I am not really getting involved this week is that you don't get to be an alcoholic and come through to try and stay sober without having to live with having done some pretty horrendous things to people you love and who love you. Whether it is by selfishness and withdrawing from the world, to missing out on simple things you should be sharing with people, to things said in anger, or the worry you will have caused. To the people you've hurt when behaving impulsively, who you've cheated on, lied to, abandonded or just made feel small and helpless.

And although there's normally not much I won't overshare on QOTW, almost every story I think of this week makes me want to apologise directly to the person I did it to and not share it here.

Although I have to say, I never, once, stuck my finger up my girlfriend's arse, then in her mouth, then fucked off to the pub for seven hours, so I have that going for me at least.

You should see what everybody else sticks in her mouth and arse while you're at the pub.
Drinking britvic.

My partner popped out for 'a few drinks' with his old friend (cunt) who stopped off on his way back from London.
This was a fair few days ago- I still have no idea where he is or what he's been up to. Just vanished. No call/email/text. Nothing.
This is not the first time. His record was an entire week & then reappearing in hospital.
Apologies for lack of humour.

Is he insured?
With any luck he'll have cashed in his chips and you can fly off to Rio and fuck somebody who isn't a waste of booze.

I have actually shouted something similar at him a few months ago.
Though I said Australia. Not to denigrate Rio's charms.

See, the thing is
this being b3ta, I come here for a laugh and that, not to hear tales of woe. So thanks for not 'oversharing'.

Also, did you puke & then snog her?

Scarpe, i know where you're coming from. I have completely humiliated and hurt people i love in the past and am now paying the price. Being sober is great

Don't you find it boring and frustrating?
I know when I'm sober I'm constantly bored by the tediousness of my life and job and always overthinking things to the point of absurdity.

Bordeom is probably my biggest risk, yes.
I realise that wasn't directed at me, but I am aware of the risks of bordeom, so I started drawing again, I read a lot more, I am listening to new music for the first time in about 15 years, I go for long walks with my camera and I see the friends that didn't like me drinking and are happy to be with me when I am not. (and, conversely, realising I am better off without the ones that only ever wanted to meet me in a pub)

I also spend a lot more time posting on pointless, crude, yet endearingly witty message boards, it seems.

It was directed at anyone who makes sense.
I am in the process of turning my life around, but the boredom is the hardest thing. I love to read, so do that also -- but the warm fuzziness will be hard to do without.
I find I post on pointless, crude, attention-seeking, but entertaining, message boards either way -- but I'm less of a dick when I'm sober.

So, your story is
I don't have a story I'm not telling my story?
(, Wed 22 Jun 2011, 19:27, closed)
Pretty much, yes.
And your reply is original and interesting derivative and wearisome?
