Good cheers Amberl
How are you feeling now? Over your Dominos vom?
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 22:41, 1 reply, 15 years ago)
I feel horrible
I needed calories and I just nommed up a bag of milkystars and a packet of Walkers baked crisps. Then two ryvita. Ah well back on the wagon tomorrow.

What've you got planned for the week?
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 22:44, Reply)
No idea.
Well see what this week throws at me. Although I'm going out for a curry on Friday night, so that'll be nice.

Watched anything interesting recently?
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 22:46, Reply)
Enjoy the curry
Seen nothing interesting, but TGB reminded me earlier that I've been meaning to see Breaking Bad for ages
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 22:48, Reply)
If you ever get the chance to see
House of Cards
To Play the King
Final Cut.

Take it, I think you'll enjoy it. (Hang on, I'll try and find a review of it)

EDIT: It's on special offer. (I still reckon there has been no finer television drama in my 36 years on this planet).

www.amazon.co.uk/House-Cards-Trilogy-DVD/dp/B0001Y9YEI/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1294786374&sr=8-1-fkmr0
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 22:51, Reply)
That looks fantastic
I definitely want to see it
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 22:56, Reply)
Stand on me.
If you are in a positon to spend a tenner on the triology (I remember buying the VHS version, at over twenty-quid a series) then it is money very well spent.
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 22:59, Reply)
God that's hardly excessive
those baked crisps have about 17 calories in and ryvita even less, because they're cardboard.
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 22:46, Reply)
I'm adding it to the calories absorbed
before the ex-Dominos. Plus the houmous
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 22:47, Reply)
Hummous is made of chickpeas and garlic and lemons!
that's not excessive either. I'll just ignore the mention of pizza and not judge you for it
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:01, Reply)
I was a fat pig
and I wolfed about four slices of Dominos which given my frugal diet was a very poor idea and it all came back calling after about five minutes
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:09, Reply)
What toppings were on it?

(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:09, Reply)
two slices Meat Feast
two slices Texas BBQ.
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:11, Reply)
Ah well then
you didn't break your diet as you didn't actually digest any of it.
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:10, Reply)
you should see what i polished off tonight
i actually hate myself, really really hate myself! :(((
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:15, Reply)
You didn't have any lunch
and you had a pissant little whatsit bar for breakfast. I doubt highly that your calorie intake for dinner was 2000 calories, so I'm pretty damn sure you don't need to worry.
Go on then...taunt me with descriptions!
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:20, Reply)
it was prob more like 3000.
no lunch but it was a birthday at work, so i had a bakewell fingers and a chocolate eclair (the cadbury sweet, not the cream thing). doom.

between 2 of us, we ate: 2 buckets full of pitta, houmous, tzatziki, spicy feta dip. 1 x veggie moussaka. 1 x carrot/lettuce salad.

i might actually explode or stab myself until all the lard runs out into the dustbin!!!!!!!!! that being said, it was fucking delicious and it should be high on our hitlist when you guys come down to stay.
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:23, Reply)
A. bakewell finger, and A. sweet?!
Today I have eaten an entire bar of cadbury's caramel and I am less bothered about that than you are about your single solitary finger and sweet!
It sounds fucking lush though. And hummous and tzatziki really aren't that fattening! Spicy feta dip sounds a bit more like trouble but it also sounds nomtastic...
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:26, Reply)
the spicy cheese dip is the best thing ever.
it seemed worth it at the time. now my new skirt is too tight and i am about to start crying tears of real cheese.

i should also add the restaurant always gives us free booze and i am many vodkas down...
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:32, Reply)
Of course it is too tight now
but it will fit again in the morning. And I presume it's a size down from previously so it's still good!
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:34, Reply)
2 sizes i think, actually
but your wise words are soothing my drunken savage beastery!
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:35, Reply)
2 sizes, bloody hell!
and you are worried about it being a little snug after your dinner?!
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:38, Reply)
true
i just have a guy to impress and... well you know what i'm like by now!
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:41, Reply)
You will probably impress him more
if you are cool and calm about your body and not obsessing about it :)
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:42, Reply)
Cool and calm is the way to go.
But not too cool and calm, else he'll think he's getting the cold shoulder.
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:45, Reply)
whilst you are both right... i don't do cool and calm
or confident. oh dear!
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:47, Reply)
Any guy that you are making moves on
Must realise that he's on to a winner.

Moar confidence plz.
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:48, Reply)
^ this

(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:51, Reply)
i must print this out and put it in my wallet
next time some horrible shallow twat makes me feel like shit, this will cheer me right up! xx
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:55, Reply)
Well given it has taken me three years
and surgery to lose 3 dress sizes I think you are doing very - possibly worringly! - well. You are far too harsh on yourself (and if you have any nice sz 12 clothes that need a home I'm always happy to help, hehe)
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:58, Reply)
i hate the reason i gained any weight in the first place because it's so depressing
and i hate the fact that i let a man depress me so much that i stopped exercising in the first place! now i am enjoying it again, so am probably overdoing it, but it'll settle down, don't worry.

will bear this in mind for when i get down to a size 2....... how is your wardrobe looking for 2027??
(, Wed 12 Jan 2011, 0:04, Reply)
Well you must be a 12 or smaller now surely
if you've lost two dress sizes? No way were you bigger than that before. And the man situation does sound shit but at least you're rid of him now I guess. And you have potential new ones too!
(, Wed 12 Jan 2011, 0:09, Reply)
oh yes
2011 is DEFINITELY onwards and upwards on the man front!

we must sort this ladies night out, maybe a facebook email around the usual suspects...
(, Wed 12 Jan 2011, 0:11, Reply)
I'm game!
Amberl seems to be moving her Oxford bash to 18th feb though, and TGB has a bash 19th march, then I think both Amberl and Lampito will be at home for easter and not back til end of April...
(, Wed 12 Jan 2011, 0:16, Reply)
I'll be in England over Easter it appears
for most of it anyway
(, Wed 12 Jan 2011, 0:21, Reply)
Maybe he doesn't mind what size you are?
My ex had size issues, and it is impossible to like someone who hates themself.
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:52, Reply)
Have you set yourself any slimming targets?

(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:26, Reply)
yes. fit in coffin.

(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:30, Reply)
I'm sure you're not that big.

(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:32, Reply)
If you were on facebook
you'd be able to see that this is indeed the case.
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:35, Reply)
wait til the bash
i've had to book a separate pub for me and my stomach
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:36, Reply)
I hesitate to use the phrase 'skinny wee thing'
about someone both older and taller than myself, but yeah... it's all in your head love. You are NOT fat.
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:37, Reply)
you're v sweet
but it's more in my stomach and thighs than my head. and the boobs. oh god. the boobs!
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:39, Reply)
If only there was such a thing as a boobswap
you could have my pingpong-ball-in-a-sock efforts and I could have your belting pair of DD's (or whatever they are) you'd get bored right quick but you wouldn't fucking see me for dust, I would well abscond with them.
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:41, Reply)
ha no you wouldn't
you'd soon bring them back when you got bored with ugly bras and men talking to them instead of your face and not being able to run for a bus!
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:45, Reply)
berk would probably leave 5 minutes earlier than you.
So that is the bus argument dealt with.
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:46, Reply)
true
i am habitally 10-30 mins late for EVERYTHING.
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:48, Reply)
Ahahahaha
no. Well - I am generally late for work and meeting people, but obsessively early if I have planes/trains/buses etc to catch.
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:49, Reply)
You know what?
I really don't think I would. I'm so bloody short that most men talk to the top of my head anyway, and at least I'd have an awesome rack.
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:52, Reply)
They do that as they are wondering
'could I rest my pint there?'
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:55, Reply)
The ex did this on occasion
as I am 5'3 and he is 6'5. Git.
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:59, Reply)
That's nothing
I've been told not to walk near the Thames for 'fear of misunderstandings'
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:37, Reply)
ha, although totally untrue about yourself, you have reminded me
a couple of years ago i went to a football match where the linesman was enormous. within minutes the entire crowd was hooting "we saw you swimming in the thames..."
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:39, Reply)
I remember once being at a football match when Wendy Thoms
he UK's first 'female' line(wo)man was running the line

Somehow, she feel, dislocating her shoulder, only for everyone to start chanting

'You should have stayed in the kitchen'
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:43, Reply)
Oh for goodness' sake!
You're not fat either!
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:39, Reply)
I thought it was quite funny myself
Besides the scales would disagree
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:40, Reply)
I'm not fat either!

(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:45, Reply)
No, you're not
you're a skinny wee thing as well. I hate to think what's going to happen to your waistline when they get your meds right though!
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:50, Reply)
I'll get heart failure and die a painful death.
Either that, or Channel 4 will do a documentary on me, like last night.
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:54, Reply)
I didn't see it, only hear about it
but still: *shudder*
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:55, Reply)
4OD
It is an interesting show.
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:58, Reply)
I'll take your word for it...

(, Wed 12 Jan 2011, 0:00, Reply)
I ended up having my dreams influenced
by that discussion :( dreamed I was 40 stone and my ankles snapped
(, Wed 12 Jan 2011, 0:00, Reply)
Ew!

(, Wed 12 Jan 2011, 0:02, Reply)
I am on Facebook.
But I never use it.

I got to about 150 'friends' realised I didn't know most of them that well and thought 'what's the point?'
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:38, Reply)
