they don't have the standard crumpet holes
Look more like mini pancakes
(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 22:38, 4 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
But mini pancakes are quite nice.
How long did they take to make?
(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 22:40, Reply)
FOREVER

(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 22:41, Reply)
So based on this
www.mysupermarket.co.uk/tesco-price-comparison/Patisserie/Tesco_Crumpets_8.html

It wasn't worth the effort?
(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 22:44, Reply)
No
But I just bought some new boots! They are exactly the same as the boots I have now just without the MASSIVE hole where the sole is making a bid for freedom from the upper
(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 22:56, Reply)
I also may have accidentally bought some in brown too

(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 22:58, Reply)
Could you not take the old boots to the cobbler?

(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 23:07, Reply)
it's cheaper to buy more

(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 23:10, Reply)
I like my crumpet
with the correct holes.

*sniggers*
(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 22:44, Reply)

How was the quiz?
Did being single see you walk off with the win?
(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 22:47, Reply)
no we did shamingly bad
and marked the paper of the people who won
(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 22:49, Reply)
Where did you come in the overall standings?

(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 22:52, Reply)
no idea
but it's a sad day for the '31ers'

although we did make biro tattoos with 31 on to commemorate that great score
(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 22:52, Reply)
31 was your score, not your team name?

(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 22:54, Reply)
no, it was the awesoem score we got
about a month ago, those of us the team that week are the 31ers. This week we got 22

I can't remember what our team name was this week, perhaps something about Chardonnay in a sodastream
(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 22:56, Reply)
Is it a really difficult quiz.
Or are you all just a bit stupid?
(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 23:00, Reply)
little fromcolumn a
little from column b
(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 23:03, Reply)
What column are you in?

(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 23:06, Reply)
b

(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 23:09, Reply)
Is that the 'quiz is difficult' column?

(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 23:10, Reply)
I'm pretty dumb
but they do ask more questions about sport than art. There was an art one this week and I got it right. There again, so would most people.

anyway - g'night
(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 23:12, Reply)
Night!
Sleep well.
(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 23:14, Reply)

(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 22:52, Reply)
Who?

(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 22:54, Reply)
The one who says "EGGZACKLY"

(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 22:56, Reply)
Did he have lots of milk?
Or is serving him breakfast a euphemism?
(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 22:58, Reply)
Nope! He was with Gruey.
I was a waitreess. They got an all-day breakfast.

What was your ITV region when you were a child?
(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 23:32, Reply)
Granada
and a touch of HTV
(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 23:33, Reply)
I was fed a diet of HTV West and a bit of TSW thrown in (my nan lived in Devon)
Friday nights always had the best telly, not least 'cos as a youngster I got to stay up late and watch The Gentle Touch or something else that was deemed 'edgy' at the time.

What were your prime-time favourite from 'back in the day'?
(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 23:37, Reply)
The Two of Us
Just Good Friends, That's My Boy, Only Fools, variety shit too.
(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 23:39, Reply)
I remember we used to watch 3-2-1
With Dusty Bin.

I'm still not sure the clues Ted Rogers read out made any sense.

If you've got an hour spare, there is a complete episode on YouTube

www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFM3NRSh3oA
(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 23:44, Reply)
I got one right once.
Can't remember the exact detail, but it had the word 'boffin' in it. "Aha", I thought, if you take the word "off" out of "boffin", you're left with "bin", therefore that prize relating to that clue is Dusty Bin.

They won Dusty Bin, the stupid cunts.
(, Tue 15 Feb 2011, 0:01, Reply)
That's better than anything I ever managed with Ted!
Why aren't you being all romantic DG?

(And I don't mean with me)
(, Tue 15 Feb 2011, 0:04, Reply)
She's zonked.
Unfortunately. Lot going on just now.
(, Tue 15 Feb 2011, 0:05, Reply)
You've worn her out, clearly.
How was your steak?
(, Tue 15 Feb 2011, 0:07, Reply)
Very nice, ta.
Unfortunately our oven is shit and conked out halfway through doing the onion rings, so we ate a bit later than planned. It keeps doing that and it's getting a bit wearing.

Guess what the first thing I'm going to buy if my redundancy comes off is?
(, Tue 15 Feb 2011, 0:09, Reply)
And with that I need to hit the sack.
I'm utterly knackered.
(, Tue 15 Feb 2011, 0:10, Reply)
A take away.
That's my guess.
(, Tue 15 Feb 2011, 0:10, Reply)
Well we'll how they fare tomorrow.
I need to stop buying boots (footware not stores)
(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 23:01, Reply)
What sort of boots did you buy?

(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 23:15, Reply)
You only need high, flat, black, brown, sensible. Done, 5 pairs tops

(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 23:30, Reply)
I need to stop flirting with the unobtainable guy

(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 23:45, Reply)
Why is he unobtainable?

(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 23:48, Reply)
Have you tried to obtain him? No.
Then you don't know that he's unobtainable. That he is receptive to your flirting is a good sign, yes?
(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 23:50, Reply)
This ^

(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 23:51, Reply)
i doubt he is receptive :p
He's too hot and at a single peoples party
(, Tue 15 Feb 2011, 0:04, Reply)
Have you actually told him you like him?
Maybe he is that hot, people don't ask him out as they all thing 'he's out of my league'?

I wouldn't know about this myself, but I know of some hot ladies who claim they never get male attention.
(, Tue 15 Feb 2011, 0:05, Reply)
y'see what they need to do is try being slags
guaranteed to get you male attention.
(, Tue 15 Feb 2011, 0:24, Reply)
Jesus?

(, Mon 14 Feb 2011, 23:58, Reply)
How would you flirt with Jesus?
You could tease him by threatening to tickle him under the arms whilst he has nails in his hands?
(, Tue 15 Feb 2011, 0:03, Reply)
Dunno, I suppose he had a soft spot for fallen ladies, might try that angle.
He is pretty unobtainable though.
(, Tue 15 Feb 2011, 0:18, Reply)
Unobtainable on account of the following.
Being fictional.

And, if not that, by being dead?
(, Tue 15 Feb 2011, 0:19, Reply)
Also religion might be a factor
he might be a bit wary of getting into a mixed relationship.
