Well then, perhaps I will start a new thread
It's just a shame I have no particular question. Perhaps it's something deep or self-pitying or shallow.

*shrugs* just say stuff
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 22:14, 144 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
STUFF.

All installed now?

Quadrophenia will be starting in 10 minutes.

it's OK
just had a little play with the pictures I took yesterday, then realised I haven't got a good monitor/graphics card (not sure which is the problem) so I'm not sure if the adjustments are any good. Might have a proper look when I'm less sleepy

How did the webpage creation go this evening?

(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 22:26, Reply)
i didn't get as far as opening the program
I'm just can't concentrate on things at the moment for some reason

why?

Bob hasn't always started the most entertaining threads.
That's why.
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 22:27, Reply)
fair point
but since no one else seems to be around, even if it was an awesome thread starter, it wouldn't have got anywhere

where is everyone?
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 22:28, Reply)
I can't stalk everyone.
Just some people.

Those who I'm stalking are confirmed as doing 'something else' instead.

(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 22:28, Reply)
Went to London yesterday
ate lunch at a Mexican place, dinner at Needos (like Tayaabs), then today late breakfast at Snog followed by lunch at Bodeans (sooo much meat) and then a cupcake from Hummingbird bakery
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 22:30, Reply)
Sounds like you've eaten really well.
What does this evening hold for you?
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 22:32, Reply)
Recovering from my food excess

Many animals were harmed in the making of yesterday

(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 22:32, Reply)
So many animals
I've been eating for four vegetarians on the basis of the three to one rule
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 22:34, Reply)
3 to 1 what?
3 animals for each vegetarian?

perhaps you should next go for an ark's worth of meat - two of every animal
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 22:36, Reply)
3 animals eaten
for every one a vegetarian doesn't eat. I ate four vegetarians worth
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 22:46, Reply)
Sounds good to me
I've seen a lot of anti-animal cruelty adverts around lately. Don't get me wrong, I'm not in favour of animal cruelty but as far as charitable donations go, I think we should concentrate on all those dying children before we worry too much about the donkeys.

Sort of along those lines, this is where I'm going for my 21st in a week and a half. Look at the menu!
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 22:49, Reply)
there used to be a mongolian bbq round here
not sure it was really mongolian - it was like a stir fly you picked your own ingredients for then some dude (who didn't look like Ghengis Khan) fried it while you stood there

Everybody who's been

at least you'll have something to throw up

(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 22:56, Reply)
That looks awesome

(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 22:55, Reply)
That could only be better if they added a tag-line to the restaurant

Nah.
I've had a drink.

What have you done this evening?
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 23:16, Reply)
Went for a run, ate some cheesecake and watched a film
was going to work on my picture or make a cake but decided that running was enough exertion.
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 23:21, Reply)
What sort of cheesecake did you have?

(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 23:22, Reply)
Raspberry
mmmmmm.
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 23:26, Reply)
I've not had cheesecake in ages.
Did you make it yourself?
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 23:28, Reply)
Nah
cheesecake is one of the few things I don't do very well. It's edible but not as good as bought, and that pisses me off - normally it's the other way round.
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 23:31, Reply)
Where did you get it from?

(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 23:33, Reply)
Co-op on the high street
yay for reduced cake.
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 23:35, Reply)
You cheap-cake!
But yes, discounted cake is good.

What is your favourite cheesecake?
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 23:37, Reply)
Las Iguanas do a pistachio and white chocolate one
but only around Christmas. I could literally eat that until I was sick. And then I'd eat it some more. It's incredible. I was distraught when my attempt to make it went horribly wrong.
So yeah, probably that. Or if you're talking mainstream, can-get-it-in-most-supermarkets-type flavour, raspberry.
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 23:42, Reply)
I think there is a lot to be said
For the blackcurrant cheesecake.

However, I've yet to sample a cheesecake from Las Iguanans, so that might change.
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 23:44, Reply)
The summer one is macadamia and toffee I think
it's not nearly as good. Blackcurrants are just wrong unless they're in blackcurrant and apple squash, which handily tastes of purple rather than blackcurrants.
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 23:46, Reply)
How does purple taste?

(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 23:48, Reply)
Like purple
duh.
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 23:51, Reply)
But surely purple tastes a bit like red?
And red is better than green,
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 23:54, Reply)
No, purple tastes like purple
red and green very definitely taste different, to both each other and to purple.
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 23:57, Reply)
But what about green?

(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 23:58, Reply)
Alright Jeff

God yeah!
It's getting so unrealistic I can barely contain myself.

The EDL/BNP thing has come out of the blue though.
(, Fri 25 Feb 2011, 0:04, Reply)
This is true
I'm really surprised they've done the teacher-student romance again.

The BNP thing was a bit clumsy.

See you on the left of the page.

I was offered a pair of antlers recently
which I accepted with alacrity.

They seemed like my nephew's sort of thing. When I got them home I texted him. Would he like them? YES!!!!!

He's just collected them. He's a b3tan so I'm expecting him to be creative with them. Herne the Hunter might be visiting the suburbs soon.

I'm putting off watching the final couple of episodes because I don't want it to be over.
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 22:43, Reply)
They were great.
I've stayed at the hotel Torquay that inspired the series (sadly, it had changed hands countless times over the years).
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 22:46, Reply)
Went for a bike ride earlier
I didn't realise quite how strong the wind was until I tried to do my usual 1.3 mile hill climb directly into it on the way back. Nearly killed me.
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 22:45, Reply)
that's quite a way anyway
from my window it looked like the clouds had dropped from the sky, here.
(, Thu 24 Feb 2011, 22:48, Reply)
Meh
The ride is about seven miles with a pub stop in the middle. The hill climb isn't strictly necessary but it's better exercise than just cycling on the flat.

3-2-1 (Rogers)
Bullseye (Bowen)

Sporting Triangles just misses out.

I'm somewhat surprised at the teacher/student thing, and the BNP thing is clumsy.

What is happening with Grantly and his wife though? Will he end up getting together with with cookery teacher?
(, Fri 25 Feb 2011, 0:10, Reply)
That would be so unrealistic
given the massive devotion to Fleur. It's hinting at it though.

I am curious about what Jess was doing though
(, Fri 25 Feb 2011, 0:18, Reply)
I think we'll end up seeing Jess getting involved with Hodge
To be honest, I'm finding this half of the series quite hard going, it doesn't seem to be following any pattern.
(, Fri 25 Feb 2011, 0:21, Reply)
It's definitely a bit patchy
I'd like a more over-arching theme to it.
(, Fri 25 Feb 2011, 0:24, Reply)
Which is a shame, given the break they have between the series
You'd like to think that more writing time would be allocated to it.

If it stays like this, expect the next series to be the last, that's my guess.
