Alright jizz-chuggers?
What have I missed this evening, anything exciting going on?
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 21:52, 84 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
nuh.
just being boring tonight.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 21:54, Reply)
tonight?
Isn't it 'this morning' for you?
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 21:58, Reply)
well yeah, but tonight is easier for you.
I got up for a lecture that wasn't on, came back to my room and started printing off things for my next lecture.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:04, Reply)
That sucks.
Any idea why your tutor didn't show?
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:05, Reply)
apparently there are no tutorials this week which I didn't know.

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:08, Reply)
Did other students turn up?

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:10, Reply)
yeah, about 5.

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:14, Reply)
Alright drunkenbum
nowt much. Did they win? (not that I know or care who was playing, I just assumed you've been at the pub watching football: it's a safe guess)
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 21:56, Reply)
You guess well.
Spurs went through on aggregate, that isn't to say that the played on stones and shingles, but that that were already 1-0 after the first game.

What have you done this evening berk?
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 21:58, Reply)
Spurs?
is that Tottenham? And is aggregate that thing where they get bonus points for getting an away goal or something? (again, not that I really care)
I have babysat, which was frankly a fucking nightmare, eaten leftover pancakes and done some much-needed chilling out in bed with a book.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:00, Reply)
Yes berk, it's all about the bonus points.
What was wrong with babysitting this evening?
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:01, Reply)
Overtired and so whingy I nearly completely lost it and screamed at them both
they were so awful their mum told me to go home. I did manage to get them both in to bed in the end: bribery works wonders on small children. I had a blinding headache from all the crying/screaming etc but I've forced it in to submission with judicious application of leftover pancake and ice cream.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:06, Reply)
I'm overtired and whingy. What do I need to bribe myself with so I don't start screaming?

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:08, Reply)
a wank.

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:09, Reply)
+ using a can of pedigree chum as a fleshlight.

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:12, Reply)
You both disgust me.
(Good answers)
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:13, Reply)
What Poppet says
I'm certainly not going to bath you or read you a bedtime story.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:12, Reply)
Glad to hear it.
Freak.

What ice-cream did you have?
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:14, Reply)
Hey woah what?
why am I a freak? Bath and bedtime story are activities of choice for overtired and whingy children. You said you were overtired and whingy. I said I wasn't going to do the aforementioned because you're OLD. So not only would it be weird, it also probably wouldn't work.

Banana custard. Nom. I am beginning to regret asking for an ice cream maker for christmas - I'm clearly going to end up the size of a house. Again.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:20, Reply)
Freak, for even having the suggestion.
On the plus side, if you make too much ice-cream, it will freeze.

*Nods wisely*
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:21, Reply)
I can't believe you called me a freak
*sulks*
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:28, Reply)
ah go on!

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:20, Reply)
hahahahahahahaha
I'm pissing myself laughing.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:21, Reply)
I have said it before; doubtless I will say it again
I have never watched an episode of Father Ted.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:21, Reply)
Why not?

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:22, Reply)
Just haven't *shrugs*
It was the same guy as wrote Black Books though, and I love that, so I should probably check it out.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:27, Reply)
Father Ted is funny as you like.
And today is a good day to start watching it.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:29, Reply)
Eeehh
I can't really be bothered right now to be honest. Fish me out a link to your favourite episode and I'll watch it tomorrow.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:35, Reply)
Start at the beginning and watch them all.
Failing that, either Speed 3 or Song for Europe.

(I'm not going to find you a link, as you never watched the BBC4 stuff I linked for you).
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:38, Reply)
I did!
It had gone off iplayer so I watched it on youtube. I valued your opinion enough to go and find it for myself AND I watched it, SO THERE.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:39, Reply)
*V sign*

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:41, Reply)
You're being really mean this evening
*pouts*
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:43, Reply)
I told you.
I'm tired.

I've hardly slept in the last 5 days.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:45, Reply)
*there there*
although I fail to see how this is my fault if I've not even kept you up talking til silly o clock...
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:47, Reply)
It's not your fault.
I'm just not sleeping at the moment and it is making me grumpy.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:59, Reply)
You're always grumpy
how am I to tell the difference?
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 23:02, Reply)
Because this time, I'm tired and grumpy?

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 23:03, Reply)
Again: aren't you usually?

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 23:04, Reply)
I'm not usually tired.

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 23:07, Reply)
Go to bed then you pranny :)

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 23:08, Reply)
I will do at 12.

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 23:10, Reply)
There was a brief mention of goat breasts

and since I just found this I thought I'd share it here.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:24, Reply)
One of my earliest memories
is being at a petting zoo and a goat nicking a packet of cigarettes out of my dad's back pocket and eating the entire thing, including the cellophane, and my dad furiously chasing it.
My mum has a picture of it somewhere, and I'm laughing so hard that I've actually fallen over. Couldn't have been older than 3.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:26, Reply)
Was it a packet of Camel cigarettes?
I'd imagine a goat would like them.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:38, Reply)
Door. Internet.
Shoo.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:39, Reply)
I have a photo of me aged 7 or 8 on holiday at some adventure park or other
and a tame jackdaw is perched on my head pecking at my ears.

My dad is taking the photo rather then rescuing his hysterical child. It's a little blurry because he was laughing.

We'll see who's laughing when he needs to go into a home.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:47, Reply)
Yes, there is another picture of me somewhere
standing on a gate attempting to feed a cow, only it's eating my dress right off me instead. Again with the parent choosing to giggle and photograph, rather than rescue the child.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:52, Reply)
If it makes you feel any better, that cow has probably been eaten by a human by now.
If not, it'll be dead from cow-related old-age (or burnt during the BSE crisis).
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 23:00, Reply)
Seeing as this was 20 years ago
(fucking hell - 20 years ago?!) I'm going to go with yes, that cow is almost certainly dead. Although I grew up right next to a farm (and very near another) and we were very lucky that there were no compulsory slaughters in the area at the height of either BSE or foot and mouth.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 23:04, Reply)
So that's where goats milk comes from.

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:30, Reply)
dude
some things shouldn't be googled.

Also, is she laughing or screaming?
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:30, Reply)
Laughing is my guess.
Who wouldn't laugh at having their nips bitten off?
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:39, Reply)
HAHAHHAHAH!

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:35, Reply)
Good answer!
How are you Captain?
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:40, Reply)
I'm grumpy
although less so now I have had a beer.

you?
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:49, Reply)
Tried.
But I've got cider.

What beer are you enjoying?
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:50, Reply)
i had fursty ferret
should have bought 2
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 22:51, Reply)
Tanglefoot has been on special offer in the supermarket for weeks now, £1.00 a bottle.

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 23:01, Reply)
which supermarket?

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 23:05, Reply)

Asda

I've said it quietly, incase those who like to spend over-the-odds on their shopping are looking to judge me.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 23:06, Reply)
that's where I go, it's OK
I didn't notice that offer though :(
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 23:07, Reply)
It might be a local, rather than national offer.
But the deals are out there.

Would you usually drink ale in the pub, or are you LARPers usually just mead drinkers?
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 23:10, Reply)
Mostly ale
mead is for larp events only, it's hard to get good mead otherwise
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 23:17, Reply)
I do like a good ale.
Although a good ale, stored badly is a nightmare.

*Avoids 6x*
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 23:28, Reply)
Anyone still around?

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 23:35, Reply)
Me.
I'm watching WR
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 23:39, Reply)
is it good?
I haven't caught the latest episode. I suspect things will kick off with Hodge and Jess
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 23:41, Reply)
If I'm being honest.
It's getting more unwatchable by the episode.

It's no 'Hotel Babylon' at the moment.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 23:44, Reply)
Serves you right for watching a load of old trash!

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 23:45, Reply)
Bait all you want, but Hotel Babylon/Waterloo Road had been my only 'heat magazine' TV pleasure.

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 23:50, Reply)
And you know what heat magazine is, as well
the shame, Jeff, the SHAME.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 23:52, Reply)
Bollocks.
I was married to someone who treated 'Heat' as a social guide.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 23:57, Reply)
Eugh
you're well out of that then.
(, Thu 10 Mar 2011, 0:04, Reply)
Obviously I now know that and,
Obviously I could have done without either the financial or emotional expense, but you live and learn.
(, Thu 10 Mar 2011, 0:07, Reply)
And get ever more misanthropic...

(, Thu 10 Mar 2011, 0:08, Reply)
See 'live and learn' comment.

(, Thu 10 Mar 2011, 0:10, Reply)
*sigh*
sometimes I really wish you weren't such a cynical old git.
(, Thu 10 Mar 2011, 0:13, Reply)
he wouldn't be Jeff then

(, Thu 10 Mar 2011, 0:14, Reply)
Oh dear
:( that's quite disappointing because the first half was really good. I really like the Karen/ Chris thing
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 23:45, Reply)
It's going beyond 'far fetched' to the point that it is unwatchable.

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 23:57, Reply)
pity really
It's a riveting piece of drama about social engineering and the effects of class and gender construction on young adults.

Yes I know that's total bollocks. It's shit but entertaining
(, Thu 10 Mar 2011, 0:00, Reply)
Sadly, Amberl it isn't really that entertaining.
How are you doing anyway? Is study better than it was?
(, Thu 10 Mar 2011, 0:04, Reply)
It's shit
everything is shit. On the plus side though I am back to eating hugely unhealthy food, drinking cheap energy drinks and thinking about watching some more House
(, Thu 10 Mar 2011, 0:09, Reply)
Well, I've got a seriously fucking difficult decision to make
My friend has just surprised me with tickets to a one day festival in Leeds, on the same day as the BGB bash. If he'd asked me in advance, I'd have said no, because I seriously want to go to that bash.

Now I don't know what the fuck to do.
