Friday was out for Thai/Indian food which my mate paid for. Many beers + hot and sour soup + jalfrezi = good. Maths innit
Saturday was outside quite a lot as it was pleasant. Haircut to stop the "sheep" look I was sporting.
Sunday, more outside with the kids. Birdthday party for daughter's mate in the afternoon. More outside with bikes. Sunday roast chicken dinner
Misguided thing? I would say buying a new car for the missus. £10,000 we cant afford.

In a couple of years time that car will only be worth £3,000 that you won't be able to afford, so that'll make you feel a bit better.

Because it's German, it's also a complete pig to work on.
That was a two animal metaphor, so you know I'm serious.

I sometimes forget that I get cheap parts and servicing etc. because my brother's mate is a splendid fellow.
Still though, there are a lot of things that piss me off about Fords that would stop me ever buying one.

I've driven my share of them and they're totally uninvolving. They're little more than school-run shuttles. Still, parts are cheap and plentiful so if you're just after something to get you to the shops and back, they'll do fine. Just don't expect the wheel and pedals to feel connected to anything, that's all.

and the way that, unlike all sensible cars, you have to press the end of the lever to spray the front screen, rather than pulling the thing towards you very irritating.

I like Jap cars because the indicator stalk is on the right side, built as they are for driving on the correct side of the road.

The majority of the population are right-handed, so having the right-hand side closest to oncoming traffic is clearly the wisest course in terms of reacting to issues.
