I put this down to them being such utterly self involved selfish cunts that they don't acknowledge the existence of other road users.

I've cycled through Clapton a few times, it was the most dangerous bit of London I've ridden in, stupid cunts pulling out in their fuck off massive volvo estates with out indicating or looking.
