I'd love to go, but I don't have any tickets, and the only two songs I know by them are shit.

(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:37, Reply)
one of them is about genital warts

(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:40, Reply)
I'm suprised how many shit gigs sell out to tell you the truth.

(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:48, Reply)
lots of people have really bad taste
look at the charts
(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:49, Reply)
Fair point.
I bet these people still watch Top of the Pops.
(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:51, Reply)
even though it is no longer on

(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:51, Reply)
I saw the Darkness at the Isle of Wight festival in about '03
They're not a band I'd want to see twice. I only saw them the first time because the Isle of Wight festival only has the one stage.
(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:40, Reply)
Are you buying?

(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:40, Reply)

uying ent?
(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:44, Reply)
I've come out of strikethrough retirement just for that. Great.

(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:44, Reply)
it was shit
you should be ashamed of yourself.

(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:45, Reply)
The Darkness were shit when they were 'good'.
Christ knows how shit they are now, but I expect you're about to find out.
(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:40, Reply)
Al's been invited round the back to suck them off before they go on stage
That's how shit they are
(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:42, Reply)
By Christ that's grim
They can't even attract decent looking groupies.
(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:49, Reply)
I'd like to go, even though I only know the one song.
Which sucks because I'm here, and all these twats are there, and they don't want to go.
(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:42, Reply)
You hate gigs and concerts. It's a well documented fact.

(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:42, Reply)
I don't like COUNTRY concerts.

(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:44, Reply)
Woh no....I love it!!!

(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:45, Reply)
You would, it's for twats anyway.

(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:55, Reply)
They don't want to go because they know more than one song.

If I lived in London
or could afford to get down there, I'd be up for that. I saw them at Leeds festival years ago and they were hilarious. Mostly hilariously bad, but in a fun sort of way.

Sadly I neither live in London or have cash, so... pointless post is pointless, really.
(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:44, Reply)

(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:51, Reply)
Well, there'll definitely be one tit there.

I saw a brilliant video of Rory Gallagher doing some song live the other day
and I can't for the life of me remember what it was called. Well annoying. It had some of the best guitar, bass and drumming I've heard in ages.
(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:47, Reply)
WHAT'S YOUR POINT?

(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:49, Reply)

Haha fair

Taste’s ‘On The Boards’ and ‘Live at the Isle of Wight’ LPs are both superb.
My knowledge of the solo work of Ireland’s favourite alcoholic (apart from all the other ones) is nonexistent, though.
(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:53, Reply)
I am unfamiliar with his non-solo stuff
I can recommend the solo stuff. Or I could if I knew what any of it was called.

The performance I saw was live in Germany, and every song I heard was outstanding.
(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:56, Reply)
Nope sorry Al
The Darkness aren't my cup of tea
(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:53, Reply)
Such a popular band.

People can't get shot of tickets even below face value.
(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:56, Reply)
He'd rather WORK than go.
Crazy old Werner.
(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:58, Reply)
He doesn't need tickets his voice is his passport

(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 14:44, Reply)
I've just called him, he's willing to let them go for a fiver and a go on his wife as well
That's his last word on it
(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 13:59, Reply)
I'm ever so sorry Al, and I hope you can forgive me, but I can't make it tonight.

(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 14:17, Reply)
Nope, found a new place where the ribs are supposed to be better.
Never been Bodeans personally though.
(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 14:51, Reply)
come to my house, my roommate makes the best ribs in the history of the world

(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 14:19, Reply)
I remember going to see The Darkness at the height of their popularity in 2003
The gig was so popular that touts were hawking tickets outside the venue for eight times their face value. No, Monty, not £8. This was before the world decided they were a one-note joke band, and promptly forgot how much fun they can be.
